Good evening! Welcome to poetry night, Bobtober style. Prepare to be petrified with fear, as I read selected works of putrid poetry from Edgar Allen Poe, Emiliy Dickinson, HP Lovecraft and Robert E. Howard. Six poems in all await you, all sinister, all spookily spectacular. Here they are, in order of appearance -

Jalacy J. Hawkins, better known as Screamin’ Jay Hawkins, was one of a kind. His voice? Have you ever heard a volcano sing in the middle of a tsunami, while frogs were raining down from the sky? That’s close to the strange, powerful and goddamn charming beauty of Screamin’ Jay Hawkins and that magic voice of his.
